Alex Hartridge has re-joined Exeter City on loan until the end of the season.
Hartridge joined the Chairboys last summer as his contract at Exeter City expired having spent his entire career at the club. But Hartridge has struggled for game time making a total of 14 appearances across League and Cup matches. His last appearance for the Blues came in a 1-1 home draw against Blackpool where he was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Chief Football Officer Dan Rice explained:”Alex has been unfortunate due to the excellent form of others in his position, and this loan is a great opportunity for him to return to a place he’s familiar with and play some football.”
Grecians manager Gary Caldwell was meanwhile delighted to confirm the signing of Alex Hartridge on the clubs official website: “Alex knows the club, and we know Alex, and in this situation it feels like a brilliant signing to bring him back to the club. It won’t take any time for him to fit in or get to know people, and that understanding will be there straight away. We know for League One he is a very good centre-half and we are looking forward to having him back.”
