Wycombe Wanderers have signed 18 year-old goalkeeper Charlie Horlock on a one year contract.

Horlock spent two years in the Chairboys’ youth team before joining Stevenage last summer to complete his apprenticeship.

His first professional contract sees him return to Adams Park under Gareth Ainsworth who told wwfc.com: “He’s done nothing but impress me since he was at the club first time round.”

“His work-rate and attitude are superb for such a young man. He’s a great character and he wants to learn. To have players like him around the place is infectious and the more you have, the better it is for the club.”

“Matt Ingram’s going to be first choice, but it’s good to have someone pushing behind him,” said the Blues’ boss.

Horlock told the club’s official site: “It’s brilliant to be coming back and I know from last time that there’s a great group here. I’m so happy.”
