Captain of Wycombe Wanderers Women’s Team, Bobby Lynch, is the daughter of singer and songwriter Kenneth Lynch.

Kenneth “Kenny” Lynch, was an English singer, songwriter, entertainer and actor, appointed an OBE in the 1970 New Year Honours list.

Born on 18th March 1938, in Stepney, London, Kenny Lynch was the youngest child in a family of 14 children, he served in the Royal Army Service Corps and was a regimental featherweight boxing champion.

In 1963, Lynch had been on the same bill as The Beatles on the group’s first British tour, and reportedly offered to help them write a song while on a coach with them, but was frustrated and criticised their ability to compose music!

Later, he appeared on a Wings album cover.

Kenny also competed in the London Marathon in 1982 and competed in several charity football matches.
Additionally, he performed on a tour with The Rat Pack in 2015, a tribute show to Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr.

Unfortunately, Kenny died of Prostate Cancer on 18 December 2019, aged 81.

His name lives on through his two daughters, Amy and Bobby Lynch.

Bobby wears the Captain’s armband for Wycombe Wanderers Women’s team and is going into her fifth season with the club.
