Following Friday’s loan-signing of Leicester City forward Ashley Chambers, the youngster has been talking about his move to Wycombe Wanderers.

The England U16, U18 and U19 international who has also made nine first team appearances for the Foxes, told his club’s official website: ‘I’ve had a frustrating few years at Leicester and I’m hoping to get a few games down here.’

Having watched Saturday’s game against Norwich from the bench, Chambers said of his new team-mates: ‘On a difficult day they worked hard and looked promising as a team. Hopefully I can slip in there and get a few goals.’

Describing his own style of play, he said: ‘I like to link up the play with the midfield but I also like getting behind and taking on players.’

On-loan until 2nd January, Chambers was hopeful of getting a taste of the action against Bristol Rovers at Adams Park on Saturday.
