Jermaine Easter’s originally surprising ommision from the Wycombe squad that travelled to Bradford has become clear after manager Paul Lanbert explained the situation to the official website.

Paul Lambert has said:

‘Jermaine told me that he wasn’t in the right frame of mind for the game. I spoke to him in the week and he said he didn’t feel he could play for us today and so he didn’t travel with the squad.

He was disappointed that he wasn’t able to move to Plymouth Argyle before the transfer window closed in August and now he needs to get his head sorted.

He’s still a Wycombe Wanderers player, he’s still contracted to the club and he’ll still be training with us. He hasn’t put in a transfer request and there are no deals lined up with other clubs – he just needs time to get back into the right frame of mind. This doesn’t mean that he won’t play for the club again.’
