Wanderers have learned of their first test of the upcoming League One season this morning, as the Chairboys will face Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground on the opening day of the season.

The long wait is finally over for Chairboys fans, as the fixture list for the highly anticipated League One 2024/25 season has been revealed. For the first time since 2016, the Blues will start the season away from home, as they travel to Wales to take on League One newcomers Wrexham.

The Welsh outfit has enjoyed back-to-back promotions under the ownership of Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and will be looking to trouble the promotion places once again heading into their first season back in the third tier since 2004.

It doesn’t get much easier for the Chairboys, as relegated Birmingham City and Rotherham United visit Adams Park, before a trip to Blackpool rounds out August. Only one of Wycombe’s first five opponents were in League One last season, as newly promoted Mansfield then travel to HP12 at the start of September.

Boxing day will be another away trip for Wanderers fans, albeit a much more favorable one than last year’s trip to Exeter City, as a short hop to Stevenage is in store. Exeter City then visit Adams Park on New Year’s Day, with the Chairboys then rounding out the season at home to Stockport County.
