Good news for Chariboys fans, as number one goalkeeper Franco Ravizzoli has penned a new deal to keep him at Wycombe Wanderers until at least the end of the 2024/25 season.

The Argentine goalkeeper joined Wycombe in September 2023, after he left county rivals MK Dons. Initially joining as a backup to Max Stryjek, some impressive cup performances and a sending-off for Stryjek saw Franco become Wycombe’s number-one in February.

Ravizzoli went on to keep eight clean sheets in 14 League One appearances, bettering what Stryjek had managed in the previous 30 matches. It was a similar story to what happened in 2021 when David Stockdale took his opportunity and seized the gloves from Ryan Allsop.

Whilst it’s currently unknown whether the 26-year-old will be number one for the upcoming season, he has certainly made a statement of intent with some of his performances towards the tail end of last season, proving he is more than capable of being a solid goalkeeper at League One level.
