Wycombe Wanderers have announced today that last season’s leading scorer and Carling Cup hero Jermaine Easter has joined Plymouth Argyle on an emergency loan deal with a view to a permanent move in January.

Just as it seemed that Bristol Rovers had struck a deal for the Welsh international, Ian Holloway renewed his interest and he jumped at the chance to leap two divisions. The 25 year old has been in a well documented limbo over the last month after telling Paul Lambert his ‘head wasn’t right’ before the away game at Bradford.

He apologised to the fans about this and assured he still wanted to play for the club but two days after netting against Millwall in the reserves, Easter has left the club.

Despite the amicable circumstances in the last few weeks, I would still like to thank Jermaine for his service to the club. If he does turn out to be a one season wonder we can relish the memories he gave us against Premiership opposition last season and wish him luck in the Championship.
