Steve Hayes has again confirmed today that there have been no bids of yet for leading striker Jermaine Easter.

The Welsh international has always outlined his intention to stay put and following the rumours last week that both Swindon and MK Dons had made a bid, Hayes has rushed to tell the fans that no such offers have come in.

Hayes told the official website – ‘We have not had a single offer for Jermaine. It’s true that a number of clubs have phoned me about him, but that’s as far as it’s gone.’

With Easter evidently being missed on Saturday, this comes as good news to Blues fans as Jermaine is likely to play a pivotal role if we can buck up our ideas and summon a promotion push.
