Wycombe Wanderers’ defender Marvin McCoy has been called up to represent Antigua & Barbuda in their World Cup qualifier against Haiti on Friday.

McCoy was one of Wycombe’s stand out performers against Notts County last Saturday but will now miss their FA Cup first round trip to Fleetwood Town at the weekend.

Signed from Wealdstone in July 2010, the highly rated 23 year-old right-back has made 35 appearances for the Blues and is under contract at the club until the summer of 2013.

Another fans’ favourite Kevin Betsy has been called-up to represent the Seychelles in a World Cup double-header against Kenya on 11th and 15th of November.

Despite their international recognition, both McCoy and Betsy have struggled to make Blues’ boss Gary Waddock’s starting-eleven in recent months.
