An extraordinary story unfolds in the South of Buckinghamshire. Wycombe Wanderers reached the summit of League One on Tuesday night after a rampant display, demolishing Stockport County 5-0 in their own backyard.

The Chairboys are now unbeaten in their last 11 league outings, winning nine and drawing two. After two narrow defeats in their opening two matches at the hands of promotion rivals Wrexham and Birmingham City, Matt Bloomfield’s men have charged up the table, eventually reaching the top following the victory over Stockport.

Whilst it’s easy to get carried away, especially after a result like that, the 40-year-old is keeping his feet planted firmly on the floor. Following his side’s triumph in Greater Manchester, the Blues boss told the media: “I want to keep a lid on it because there’s so long to go. We’ve done a lot of work over the summer and putting some stuff in place, but we’ve got a tough game at Wigan on Saturday and all our focus now has to be on recovering, preparing and making sure we turn up there with the energy we need.”

With a busy couple of months coming up, games are coming thick and fast. The feel-good factor is evident on a matchday at Adams Park, as the Wanderers are making their patch a fortress once again. Whilst there are plenty of positives currently, plenty of seats remain unfilled on a matchday in HP12. With one of the most exciting sides in the division, we’re encouraging everyone to get themselves down to Adams Park and roar the Blues on, as they look to continue their rich vein of form.

Lets #PackThePark

The work of the fan group, ‘The 1887’, has been incredible since its creation last summer. Through crowdfunding and the power of the community, enough money has been raised to purchase items such as flags to help bring the atmosphere to the terrace. This has set the foundations to make South Buckinghamshire a very intimidating place to come for any opponents.

Despite the recent success, Wycombe are currently 21st out of 24 in the average attendance charts in League One. There have been some magical nights in HP12 in recent years, beating MK Dons in the play-offs and hosting Champions League side Aston Villa, just to name a few. We’ve seen fans come out in full force to pack out the stadium on these occasions, so the potential is certainly there to make it a more regular occurrence.

With some incredible talent on show, playing a hugely entertaining brand of football. Now is a great time to get yourselves down to Adams Park, bring a friend or family member, and cheer the Chairboys on. There are plenty of things to do before and after kick-off to make a great day of it, and you will certainly be entertained by what’s on show on the pitch.

The entertainment factor is certainly there, with Wycombe scoring 31 goals in just 13 matches so far this season, and hitting two or more goals in all but one league fixture. Some extraordinary young talents such as Richard Kone, and Cameron Humphreys are proving why they could have a bright future in the game, whilst fan favourites like Fred Onyedinma, Garath McCleary and Josh Scowen remain ever-present for the Blues.

Of course, form is temporary, so it’s important to enjoy the good times, but also get behind the boys when times are not as easy. This is why we urge everyone to spread the word of the unfolding story, get yourselves down to the ground on a Saturday, or Tuesday, and bring someone with you! With fixtures coming thick and fast, the extra support will be felt on, and off the pitch.

So, the message is simple. Come to Adams Park, bring your mates, and get behind the Chairboys! Let’s #PackThePark!
