Wycombe Wanderers today announced that goalkeeper Jamie Young has left the club by mutual consent.

A popular player with the fans, Young joined the Blues from Reading in August 2006 and went on to make 39 appearances for the club.

The Aussie keeper told wwfc.com: “I really enjoyed my time at the club. It’s been frustrating at times because I personally feel that I could have played a lot more games, but I’ve had some great times with Wycombe.”

“I would like to say thank you to everyone at Wycombe, especially the supporters behind the goal. I don’t think I’ll have a similar relationship with another set of supporters as I have here. It was a great experience for me as a person and as a player.”

Good luck Jamie.
