Wycombe Wanderers today announced that goalkeeper Jamie Young has left the club by mutual consent.

A popular player with the fans, Young joined the Blues from Reading in August 2006 and went on to make 39 appearances for the club.

The Aussie keeper told “I really enjoyed my time at the club. It’s been frustrating at times because I personally feel that I could have played a lot more games, but I’ve had some great times with Wycombe.”

“I would like to say thank you to everyone at Wycombe, especially the supporters behind the goal. I don’t think I’ll have a similar relationship with another set of supporters as I have here. It was a great experience for me as a person and as a player.”

Good luck Jamie.
