Wycombe Wanderers travel to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday for their 15th league game of the season.

The Chairboys were beaten 2-0 by Barnet at Adams Park last weekend.

They also picked up their first red card of the season when summer signing Myles Weston took an early bath just 13 minutes after coming on as a substitute.

It was only Weston’s second appearance of the season following an injury he suffered just 14 minutes into his debut on the opening day at Crawley.

It was a disappointing performance from Wanderers who were toothless going forward and failed to trouble the Barnet keeper, an all too familiar pattern in 2016.

The defeat brought to an end a decent run of results at Adams Park, where Gareth Ainsworth’s side have picked up 87% of their points so far this season.

Wanderers have now lost seven, won four and drawn three of their 14 league matches, and have fallen five places to 21st in the League Two table

This Saturday sees the Chairboys pit their worst away-record in the division against Doncaster’s top-ranked home record.

The records are a mirror-image of each other, with Donny having won 5, drawn 2 and lost none of their home games, while Wycombe have lost 5, drawn 2 and won none of their away games.

It’s also worth noting that Doncaster have bagged twice as many league goals as the Chairboys, and have scored in every single one of their 17 games in all competitions.

Ainsworth made two changes to his starting line-up last time out with midfielder Nick Freeman and winger Garry Thompson replacing midfielder Matt Bloomfield, who dropped to the bench, and striker Paul Hayes, who missed out through injury.

Weston’s inglorious cameo came after he recovered from a groin injury whilst midfielder Luke O’Nien made a welcome return as an unused substitute following ten weeks out with a leg fracture.

Striker Scott Kashket returned to the bench after recovering from illness, while defender Sido Jombati was left out of the 18-man squad.

Ainsworth has no new injury concerns ahead of this weekend’s clash with Rovers but will be without Weston, who serves a one-match ban.

Goalkeeper Scott Brown and skipper Paul Hayes remain doubtful whilst striker Dayle Southwell faces another fortnight out following surgery on his groin.

Defender Max Müller (hamstring) could make his long-awaited debut in the not too distant future.

Doncaster Rovers let slip an early lead to lose 4-2 to Blackpool at Bloomfield Road last weekend.

It was a rare afternoon to forget for Rovers who went into the game on the back of two consecutive home wins in the league.

They have now won eight, lost four and drawn two of their 14 league matches to lie 3rd in the League Two table.

Manager Darren Ferguson made two changes to his starting line-up last time out with defender Mathieu Baudry handed his first start of the season following an Achilles injury.

Teenage midfielder Harry Middleton was handed a recall with defender Joe Wright and teenage striker Liam Mandeville both dropping to the bench.

Midfielder Paul Keegan was recalled to the bench as he recovers from a long-term thigh injury.

Goalkeeper Marko Marosi was substituted early in the second half with a knock and will be assessed ahead of this weekend’s clash with the Chairboys. Defender Cedric Evina is expected to shake off a toe problem.

Defender Craig Alcock (ankle ligaments) and Fraser Richardson (groin) remain doubtful whilst striker and leading goalscorer Andy Williams faces another seven weeks out with ankle ligament damage.

Defender Aaron Taylor-Sinclair (knee) and teenage midfielder Joey McCormick (dislocated shoulder) remain sidelined whilst defender Mitchell Lund won’t be fit until January due to a kidney problem.

Midfielder Gary McSheffrey has been ruled-out for another four months following knee surgery whilst midfielder Luke McCullogh will miss the entire season after suffering an anterior cruciate knee ligament (ACL) injury.
