Wycombe Wanderers travel to Yeovil Town on Saturday for their 42nd league game of the season.

The Chairboys were out of action last weekend due to Lincoln City’s involvement in the EFL Trophy final at Wembley.

Their last outing was a crucial 2-1 win over Grimsby Town at Adams Park on Easter Monday.

It was a victory that ensured Gareth Ainsworth’s side would remain in 3rd place despite their 12 day break.

Wanderers are unbeaten in their last 6 games (3 wins & 3 draws) and have now collected 74 points, 15 points more than they had at the same stage last season.

A win over the Glovers on Saturday would confirm the Chairboys’ place in the top seven, guaranteeing them a place in the play offs at worst.

The aim however is automatic promotion, and with nearest rivals Exeter at league leaders Accrington, a win at Huish Park could give Wanderers valuable breathing space going into the last four games.

Ainsworth made four changes to his starting line-up against the Mariners.

Loanee Randell Williams was handed his full league debut, Scott Kashket made his first start of the season, Michael Harriman made his first start in six months, and Dominic Gape returned after recovering from a hamstring strain.

They were preferred to Craig Mackail-Smith and Nathan Tyson who dropped to the bench, while Tafari Moore and Matt Bloomfield both missed out through injury.

Ainsworth has no new injury concerns ahead of this weekend’s trip to Huish Park.

Matt Bloomfield (facial injury) is back in contention but Curtis Thompson (hamstring) remains doubtful.

Anthony Stewart has missed three-and-a-half months with a calf injury but edges closer to a return.

Dan Scarr (ankle ligaments) and Tafari Moore (hamstring) are unlikely to make the squad.

Yeovil Town snatched a share of the spoils with a last-minute equaliser to draw 2-2 at Swindon Town on Tuesday.

The Glovers are now 10 points clear of the relegation zone with two games in hand on 23rd placed Barnet.

They lie 18th in the table with 46 points, exactly the same number of points as they had at the same stage last season.

Their current form is 2 wins 2 draws and 1 defeat in the last 5 games.

Manager Darren Way made four changes to his starting line-up against the Robins, with Bevis Mugabi, Alefe Santos, Oscar Gobern and Otis Khan all handed recalls to the side.

They replaced Jared Bird and Jordan Green who dropped to the bench whilst Ryan Dickson and Francois Zoko were both suspended.

Dickson is available against Wycombe after serving a one-match ban but top scorer Zoko will serve the second of a four-match ban.

Stuart Nelson suffered a wrist injury in midweek which will keep him out for the rest of the season.

The Glovers currently have six loan players on their books and can only name a maximum of five in any matchday squad. Sam Surridge could be the man to miss out as he faces a late fitness test on a hamstring strain.

Nathan Smith, James Bailey, Artur Krysiak, Daniel Alfei and Jake Gray aren`t expected to be fit until next season.
