Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Stuart Lewis has signed a two-year contract extension which ties him to the club until 2014.
The energetic 23 year-old arrived on-loan from Dagenham last November and was signed on a permanent basis during the January transfer window.
His gritty performances in the engine room were an important factor in the Blues’ success last season and quickly earned him the respect of the fans.
Lewis told wwfc.com: “It’s been a great time for me since I arrived and I’m more settled here than I’ve ever been before. I think I’m playing the best football of my career so far. It was a no-brainer for me to sign and I’m really happy.”
Blues boss Gary Waddock said: “I’m delighted that Stu’s committed his future to the club because he’s a very important member of the group. His performances have been excellent since he arrived and he deserves his new contract.”
