Following yesterday’s 0-0 draw at home to Blackpool, here are some views on the game from the Seasiders’ manager Gary Bowyer and a selection of their fans.

“Our lads stood up to the barrage of balls that get pumped into your box,” said Bowyer, speaking to his club’s Official Website

“We stood up to that and matched the physicality of Wycombe. They’re very good at what they do and how they do it and we were absolutely delighted with that side of it.”

“We’ve had the two best chances and should have won the game though.”

“You have to give their goalkeeper credit because he’s got Man of the Match and we were the away team.”

“We wanted nine points out of nine this week and were presented with a great opportunity at the death, but we’ve come across a goalkeeper who has made two outstanding saves today.”

The Blackpool fans weren’t thrilled.

The following extracts are taken from Back Henry Street, Vital Blackpool, Fans Online and the Blackpool Gazette.

“Incredibly dull game, the ball was never out of the sky! However, we had the better chances and should have won it. Their keeper was MOTM after pulling off some very good saves, especially the penalty.”

“A right shit game. Normally a point wouldn’t be too bad but draws won’t get us close to the play offs.”

“That’s 5 penalties we’ve missed in the league this season.”

” I thought Wycombe were out on their feet second half after a long season and were there for the taking. Blackpool really have to finish these kind of teams off.”

“Wycombe weren’t out on their feet because of a ‘hard season’. They were partying last week in Miami. Whereas BFC would be lucky with Morecambe.”

“Potts got a hat trick. He hit the bar (with a cross), missed a sitter and missed a penalty.”

“Our goalie had one save to make. We missed a pen. Potts missed an open goal.”

“The second half was a story of four missed chances, two for either side. Potts was denied by a remarkable point-blank save, and then again for the late penalty. But they had two free headers on the six yard line that finished up in the crowd. I thought we finished much the stronger of the two teams but it was a very even contest all the way.”

“It was a very dull game, save for maybe for the last few minutes after the penalty. By the way, I didn’t think it was a badly taken penalty; more a good save. I’m not sure about the other save though; I was convinced the ball was over the line. But overall the quality was pretty poor.”

“The Potts chance was the biggest sitter I have seen for a long time. Presented with an open goal he limply wafted a boot at it … dire. The penalty … keeper knew where it was going and it was an easy save. One word review of that game. AWFUL. Non league standard at best. The standard of football was shocking.”

“Wasn’t a bad penalty. Good save, plus we scored early in the second half only for the idiot linesman not to be up with play.”

“An evenly matched game and a clear goal which crossed the line.”

“Delfounesco was the best footballer on the pitch in terms of close control, heading and effective ball skills. He looked well-above League Two standard. Blackman, their goalie, impressed me, too. He’s very ‘mobile’ for a big lad. I thought we were the better side, but not by enough to win the game!”

“After today’s match we still need 21 points from 10 games, to make the ‘magic 72 points,’ for 7th place. That’s six wins; three draws and we can afford to lose just one! It’s a tall order.”
