Following yesterday’s 0-0 draw at Newport County, here are some views on the game from the Exiles’ manager Michael Flynn and a selection of their fans.

“I’m frustrated because in the first half we had enough chances to win three football matches,” said Flynn, speaking to Radio Wales.

“We created chance after chance. In the first half we put 15 crosses into the box, and we had 10 attempts on goal.”

“We should have been out of sight, but in the last half an hour we were lucky to get a point.”

“We started brightly in the second half as well, but then Wycombe were by far the better team and pinned us in.”

“By the end, we are probably grateful that we didn’t lose.”

“It was too open for my liking. We needed to take our chances when we were on top and, thankfully, we didn’t get punished like we did last week at Exeter.”

“Wycombe are a solid League Two team and our players worked their socks off, you could see how tired they were at the end.”

The Newport fans gave a very reasonable assessment of the game.

The following extracts are taken from weareexiles and the Argus.

“Overall Wycombe looked a better team than us. I think they’ll be in the top three come the end of the season. Second half they were quicker to the ball than us and created a couple of chances that they should have scored.”

“Seemed to lose our shape in second half, and midfield overrun in last twenty minutes, lucky not to concede.”

“Should have converted our chances in the first half. Second half I thought I was watching a game from this time last year. The midfield went to sleep and for some reason on this great playing surface we started hoofing the ball. We were lucky to come away with a draw.”

“I cant believe that ended 0-0, both teams had good chances. The last 20 minutes I thought we were hanging on so I’m happy with a point. I have seen all of County’s league games this season and I thought Wycombe were the best team we have played.”

“We lost the midfield battle when Labadie went off. Really enjoyed the game though, loads of chances for both teams, a draw about the fair result.”

“Definitely a point gained today – we were poor second half, hanging on and could have lost two or three nil quite easily. I hope that Joss Labadie isn’t badly injured – we really missed his presence second half and they were walking through our midfield with ease.”

“Glad we got a point, as second half they were storming us but had some crap finishing – thank goodness.”

“Given the dross of the last few seasons, this was a refreshing 0-0 draw. Could of, should of nicked it – could of, should of lost it a few times.”

“I honestly can’t remember Wilmott delivering a decent cross all game and when he comes out of Jacobson’s pocket he will realise himself he was poor today….
….Jacobson…..what is he doing playing in League 2…..class player who always impresses me when I see him.”

“Man for man, Day and the defence were fantastic. Pipe ran himself into the ground and headed a certain goal off the line. A draw flattered us especially on the second half performance.”
