In the wake of yesterday’s 2-1 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, here are some views on the game from the Owls’ manager Gary Megson and a few of their fans.
Speaking to Wednesday Player, Megson gave his assessment of the game as follows…..
“I thought it was terrific, we should have been a minimum of one up within the first five minutes. Great start, forced a couple of corners, really on the front foot.”
“We scored a good goal, and I know he’s only a young lad and it was a good strike from his point of view but we shouldn’t be letting their goal in.”
“At least we’ve got the wherewithal to get back and get ourselves a lead, and then we’ve hit the bar, had what looked a decent goal chalked off for offside, and then we’ve had chance after chance after chance and not put them away, so it made it a touch tenuous towards the end.”
The Wednesday fans had both harsh words and praise for Wycombe as they became the latest lot to return home with nothing but fond memories of their visit to Adams Park.
