The Wycombe Wanderers Trust Board have announced plans to sell a controlling interest in the football club while retaining ownership of Adams Park.

The potential buyers are described as “a company of investors who are committed to injecting funds into the Club to continue its development both on and off the field.”

The sale has been agreed in principle but is conditional upon a number of detailed matters. one of which is the agreement of at least 75% of the Trust’s Legacy Members.

A Trust Members` Forum will be held at 8pm on Tuesday 18th February 2014 to reveal full details of the proposal.

The opportunity for Legacy Members to vote will begin as soon as is practical after the Trust Members` Forum.

The Trust website defines a Legacy Member as follows…

Legacy Members – “These are members who are in their fourth (at least) consecutive year of holding a season ticket. Legacy membership is retained in future years as long as season ticket holding continues. Exceptionally, under the one-off amnesty in 2013, Legacy membership may also be held by season ticket holders of less than four seasons providing they continue to hold a season ticket, and by any supporters who had held Gold memberships or half season tickets in the previous two seasons and providing this level of support continues.”

There are approximately 538 legacy members at present.
