Wycombe Release Six

Paul Lambert has yielded the axe at Wycombe and has chosen not to renew the contracts of 6 first-team players.

Whilst Jamie Young is retained for another 3 years, the players not retained include Frank Talia, Anthony McParland, Ikechi Anya, Matt Barnes-Homer, James Faulkner and Dean Thornton.

Letting go of Barnes-Homer and McParland seems odd as Lambert has not seen 90 minutes from them even when adding their playing time together!

I also believe releasing Anya seems like a mistake, a speedy winger who has seen to be an asset in the last quarter of games yet Lambert does not seem to think he is up to standard.
