Wycombe have completed the signing of exciting prospect, Alex Lowry, from Scottish premiership club Rangers FC.

A product of the Rangers youth system, he joined the club at only ten years old, playing in the junior and B team and signed a contract with the club until summer 2023, before signing an extension that runs until this year.

Lowry made his debut for the Rangers first-team in a Scottish Cup match against Stirling Albion where he came on as a first-half substitute, scoring the opening goal just after the half-hour mark. Clearly impressing in that match, he subsequently started the next match for Rangers, which was in the Scottish Premiership against Livingston, playing the full match.

He joined Hearts on loan in August, on a loan deal which was due to run until the end of the season, but it was cut short in January.

The midfielder has also represented Scotland at the Under-16, Under-19, and Under-21 levels.

The completion of this deal is also a statement of intent for Wanderers, showing that they’re not backing down despite recent events.

CFO Dan Rice commented on the player, saying that he is “full of energy and creativity”.

Lowry’s move is subject to relevant approvals and international clearance
