Wycombe have announced the signing of 26-year-old midfielder, Magnus Westergaard from Superliga side, Viborg FF.

This is the second Danish player Wycombe have signed during the January transfer window, after centre-back Anders Hagelsjkaer joined last week.

He joined from the Danish first-division, playing for Viborg after signing from Lyngby in January 2023, making 54 appearances and scoring 5 goals in that time. Most likely to fill the spot in which Bolton-loanee, Aaron Morley left when he had to return to his parent club.

Magnus played a part in Lyngby’s promotion to the first division of Danish football in 2019, before joining Hvidovre in 2020 on loan, making 22 appearances and scoring four goals.
He returned to his parent club after his loan deal expired, Lyngby relegated from the Superliga, once again helping them in their efforts to be in the top-flight.

Commenting on the signing, CFO Dan Rice said Magnus is a “fantastic player” and “compliments the way Wycombe play.”

Westergaard will wear number 42.
