Wycombe face play-off contenders, Bolton this Friday, kicking off at 7:45pm.
Bolton have had a far from strong start to this season’s campaign, with the northern team winning nine of their league games so far, and losing six, most notable of those losses coming against Stockport which they lost 5-0, and Huddersfield where they were beat 4-0.
Meanwhile, Wycombe are coming off the back of a 4-1 win against Shrewsbury last weekend, also winning three of their last five and drawing the other two, still unbeaten in 17 league games.
Former chairboy and fan-favourite, Chris Forino will not feature for Bolton against Wycombe after suffering from a hamstring injury in October which won’t see him return until early next year. The 24-year-old defender spent three years in Buckinghamshire, making 75 appearances in that time before leaving for Bolton in the summer of 2024.
Aaron Morley also most likely won’t feature due to his loan agreement with Bolton.
Last time the two sides met, Bolton came out on top with a 2-1 win over Wycombe, with the reverse fixture going the same way with a 2-4 win at Adams Park last season.
Bolton were last years’ play-off semi-finalists, playing against Barnsley, eventually going through to the final after winning 5-4 on aggregate, but ended up losing 2-0 to Oxford United.
Wycombe finished tenth that season.
