A currently manager-less (at the time of writing this) Wycombe Wanderers are set to take the 137 mile trip to Mansfield this Saturday, coming off the back of the News of Bloomfield’s departure to Luton, they hope to replicate the form that they carried for the first half of the season.

After their FA Cup triumph in the third round against Championship side Portsmouth, Wycombe hope to continue their winning ways in the league against Mansfield, albeit under different circumstances than they were in the previous meeting between the two sides.

The big question coming into this match is, for many Wycombe fans, does the board have a new manager lined up to come in? Or will Sam Grace and his team be in the away dugout at the Field Mill Stadium?
Furthermore, Wanderers fans will ask questions of the team coming into their match, asking if the sudden departure of Bloomfield would affect the teams morale, and therefore their performance?

The blues’ previous match came against Portsmouth in the FA Cup, and came with some team rotation, but Wycombe fans can expect the usual league lineup against Mansfield. However, Shamal George was forced off in the seventh minute of the cup clash due to a groin injury, so Sunderland-loanee Nathan Bishop could take his place on the bench, while Ravizzoli taking up the usual starting spot.
Additionally, Sam Vokes made an appearance on the bench against Portsmouth but didn’t come on, but it was good to see him make an appearance after five months out with an injury.

New signing, Anders Hagelsjkaer could make an appearance against Mansfield, after also featuring on the bench in the previous game but not coming on.

Wycombe are unbeaten in three of their last five, while Mansfield have won four of their last five.

Last time out against Mansfield, Luke Leahy scored a last-gasp winner, which he later admitted was an attempted cross, but was happy with his goal nonetheless, making Wycombe’s unbeaten run ten games.

Mansfield have only won two of their last ten league games against Wycombe, drawing four and losing four.

A lot of questions will be asked coming into this match, especially after it’s Wycombe’s first game in 22 years without the involvement of Gareth Ainsworth or Matt Bloomfield, starting a new era for Wycombe Wanderers, so how will it begin?
