Wycombe Wanderers 5-0 Maidenhead United (Behind Closed Doors Friendly)

Popular midfielder Matt Bloomfield made a long awaited return from injury this evening, playing 45 minutes in a 5-0 behind-closed-doors win over Maidenhead United.

Bloomfield has been injured since August last year after being diagnosed with pelvic shear.

There was further good news as defender Gary Doherty and striker Matt McClure stepped up their move towards full fitness, both completing 90 minutes.

The Chairboys led by a single goal at the break courtesy of Lee Angol, who completed his brace shortly after the interval to double the lead.

Striker McClure made it three with a bullet header before a Maidenhead defender turned in Tommy Fletcher’s cross, and Nick Arnold completed the rout.

Line Up: Horlock, Arnold, Hause, Fletcher, Doherty, Kewley-Graham (Trialist 70), Bloomfield (Trialist 45), Kretzschmar, Morias, Angol, McClure
