Full-Time – Wycombe were not clinical enough throughout the match and were punished for it. More questions must be raised about Shearer’s presence in the team and let’s hope Tom Williams pre-match chest pains were not too serious as he was clearly missed today.
16:50 – Easter finds the side netting, too little too late I’m afraid.
16:44 – Roger Johnson scores for Cardiff away at Norwich whilst the game at Saltergate seems to be easing out to a disappointing finish.
16:40 – Shearer’s starting place in goal looks in jeopardy, a series of long, aimless goal kicks throughout the game aren’t doing Wycombe’s chances of an unlikely fightback any good.
16:38 – Spireites’ substitute Rooney has 2 chances in a minute, firing wide after a counter attack by the Derbyshire side and then forcing a good save by Shearer.
16:36 – GOAL! – Looks like the nail in the coffin, Shearer looked to be set to claim the ball but missed it horribly leaving Lester with an open goal from 6 yards out.
16:33 – Easter slices a great chance wide as Oakes put him through with a lovely chipped pass.
16:31 – Sutton is the next man to enter the fray as Wycombe take off Gary Holt.
16:26 – Stefan Oakes replaces Bloomfield, recently Lambert’s substitutions have come off for him, lets hope it’s the case here.
16:21 – Wycombe subs sent out to warm up, maybe the attacking presence of Sutton and Oakes is exactly what is required.
16:18 – Martin again has a go at a free kick but his powerful shot disappointingly finds the foot of the wall before Torres laces one way over the bar. A good chance as the free kick was in a promising position.
16:16 – Route one football finds Scott McGleish but his shot from the left trickles wide, definitely a good chance.
16:15 – Lester again finds himself with a chance but he couldn’t quite connect with the cross swung into him, maybe a change is needed to freshen the team up.
16:08 – Sloppy start to the half, Lester nearly finds himself through on the goal but he struggles to hold the ball under control.
16:07 – Chesterfield make a change and it is announced that 241 Wycombe fans made the trip in an attendance of 3733.
Half-Time – A cruel blow just before half time. Doesn’t sound like Wycombe are playing too badly but some defensive hesitance proves our downfall, and not for the first time this season.
15:46 – GOAL! – Niven fires a shot past Scott Shearer from the edge of the area after Wycombe failed to clear their lines properly, cruel just before half time and just when Wycombe were getting into the game more.
15:42 – Wycombe seemingly gaining some momentum, Bullock weaves his way down the right but he is eventually shoved off the ball before he gets the chance to swing a cross in.
15:40 – Another poor corner by Bullock, this is when Williams’ dead ball delivery comes in handy. On the subject of Williams, no more news but lets hope it’s nothing serious in a 2 week spell that’s highlighted the vulnerability of footballers.
15:38 – Easter finds himself on the right side of the area but Roche dives at his feet.
The first corner of the game is taken by Bullock but it’s easily cleared.
15:33 – Torres shows his flair and takes it past 4 players in the middle before giving Easter his first flash of goal but he fired straight at the keeper.
15:29 – McCracken picks up the game’s first booking with a clumsy challenge near the halfway line.
15:28 – Steve Fletcher fluffs his lines after a good cross into the area, a let off for Wycombe.
15:25 – Scott McGleish can’t quite reach Jermaine Easter’s cross goal pass as Roche dives bravely at the ex-Cobbler’s feet.
15:18 – Russell Martin’s deflected free kick ends up with Leon Johnson but his shot is saved by the feet of the Chesterfield goalkeeper, Barry Roche.
15:16 – Holt is careless in position and Chesterfield nearly make Wycombe pay but the Wycombe defence marshall it away.
15:14 – Jamie Lowry fires from the edge of the area but Scott Shearer gets down well and holds onto the ball.
15:13 – Everything is going down the right for Wycombe but Martin’s and Bullock’s final passes are going stray.
15:11 – The Derbyshire locals vocally protest for a penalty but it turns out it’s a free kick for Wycombe.

15:04 – Worrying news, Tom Williams suffered from chest pains in the dressing room and has been replaced by Sam Stockley.
