After the eagerly anticipated fixture list was announced on Thursday, the Blues have been presented with a home tie against Accrington Stanley to begin the season and a home tie at Bradford to end it. There are several fixtures that stand out with a first glance.
We will be the Daggers’ first home game since their return to the Football League on Saturday 18th August.
Early away games to relegated sides Chesterfield on Saturday 1st September and Bradford on Saturday 29th August should provide stern tests.
An away game to Barnet in midweek also catches the eye as well as the first ‘Bucks Derby’ at home to the Franchise on Saturday 3rd November.
Boxing Day provides an ideal away game against Brentford and 3 days later Blues fans will get the chance to visit Shrewsbury’s New Meadow for the first time.
Midweek away games against Wrexham and Bury will not appeal to many, the boycotters may be out for our first visit to Stadium:mk on Saturday 12th April.
And, hopefully with both teams having promotion credentials, the home game to conclude the season on Saturday 3rd May against Bradford could indeed be a promotion party!
