Luke Oliver Joins Wycombe

Wycombe Wanderers have today signed former player Luke Oliver on a free-transfer from Stevenage Borough.


26 year-old Oliver is a tall central defender who has previously played under manager Peter Taylor when the current Wycombe boss was in charge at Stevenage for part of last season.

Oliver left Wycombe in February 2004. During his first spell with the Chairboys he made 4 substitute appearances for the first team. His only Football League experience since then consists of 3 substitute appearances for Yeovil Town during the 2005/06 season.

Oliver joins Wycombe just a few days after central defender Mike Williamson was sold to Watford for an undisclosed fee.

Manager Peter Taylor told his club’s official website: ‘He’s a big commanding centre-half who can help us. He could turn into a very good centre-back.’
