Wycombe Wanderers have today signed Czech goalkeeper Marek Stech on loan from West Ham United.

Stech will be with the Chairboys until May 23rd and comes to Adams Park following the news that Scott Shearer is out for the rest of the season.

The 19 year old keeper is a former trainee with Sparta Prague.

Wycombe manager Peter Taylor told his club’s official website: ‘I haven’t signed him to be number two but to push for the number one jersey and I would like to thank West Ham for letting one of the best young keepers around join us.’

‘I felt it was the right thing for the club to go and get the best one I could get.’

Stech becomes the third new signing in a week after the arrival of Striker John Akinde and keeper Ashlee Jones.

Defender Chris Casement has also had his loan-spell extended.

So, as the run-in commences, the Chairboys have now strengthened all areas of their squad with the notable exception of midfield.
