Wycombe Wanderers have today signed Charlton’s Paul Hayes and Gary Doherty on loan until the end of the season.

Earlier this week the Blues borrowed Millwall’s Chris Hackett for a month and Arsenal’s Craig Eastmond until the end of the season.

With his side bottom of the table and five points from safety having played up to two games more than their relegation rivals, this week’s transfer activity appears to represent one final throw of the dice from manager Gary Waddock.

28 year-old Hayes is a six-foot striker who joined league-leaders Charlton last summer. He’s scored 3 goals in 12 starts and 8 substitute appearances for the Addicks this season.

Hayes has previously played for Scunthorpe, Barnsley, Huddersfield and Preston. His career record is 100 goals in 322 starts and 90 substitute appearances.

32 year-old Doherty is a 6′ 2″ central defender who joined Charlton in the summer of 2010. He’s made 3 league and 3 cup appearances for the Addicks this season. His last outing was a 3-0 home defeat to Brentford on 5th October.

A former Republic of Ireland international, Doherty has also played for Luton, Tottenham and Norwich, making a total of 367 starts and 74 substitute appearances and chipping in with 37 goals.

21 year-old Eastmond is a six-foot holding midfielder who joined Arsenal at the age of eleven. He has not played first team football this season.

Eastmond has made 8 starts and 2 substitute appearances for the Gunners since his debut in 2009. He also made 4 starts and 2 substitute appearances while on loan at Millwall last season.

28 year-old Hackett is a six-foot winger who joined Millwall in 2006. This season he’s made 2 starts and 4 substitute appearances for the Lions and 5 starts while on loan at Exeter City.

Hackett has also played for Oxford United and Hearts. His career record is 15 goals in 182 starts and 112 substitute appearances.
