Wycombe Wanderers take on Aldershot Town at the Recreation Ground this Saturday in a League Two fixture.

The Shots are in good form at the moment and have won 4 of their last five league games.

Their most recent outing was an FA Cup defeat away to Millwall, but prior to that they won four consecutive games in all competitions, seeing off Exeter, Rotherham, Chester and Lincoln without conceding a single goal.

Aldershot, Liverpool, Man Utd and Wycombe are the only remaining sides in English league football with unbeaten home records.

Currently occupying 11th place in League Two, the Shots have collected 27 points from 18 games.

21 of their 27 points have been won at the Recreation Ground and their home record of 6 wins and 3 draws is exactly the same as Wycombe’s.

They have scored 24 league goals (16 at home) and conceded 29 (9 at home).

10 different players have scored for Aldershot in all competitions this season. Top scorers are Scott Davies and Marvin Morgan with 6 goals each.

Wycombe have now stretched their unbeaten league run to 18 games and are top of the table with 40 points.

They have won their last 4 league games, the most recent being an impressive 4-0 victory over Macclesfield Town on Tuesday evening.

The Blues have scored 26 league goals (9 away from home) and have conceded 8 (2 away from home).

12 different players have scored for Wycombe in all competitions this season. The Top scorer is Matt Harrold with 7, while Chris Zebroski is just a single goal behind with 6 to his name. The Wanderers’ defence have also contributed an impressive 7 goals between them.

Ref Watch
Saturday’s referee is Mr K.A. Woolmer. Last season he was in charge when Wycombe lost 1-0 at Hereford and earlier this season he was in the middle for Shrewsbury’s 7-0 win at Adams Park in the JP Trophy. Mr Woolmer has issued 36 yellow and 3 red cards in 17 appearances so far this season.

Team News

Mike Williamson and Matt Harrold have been ill and Chris Zebroski has a cut ankle. All missed Tuesday’s game and must be considered doubtful for Saturday.

This could be the toughest test yet of Wycombe’s unbeaten league record, with Aldershot proving themselves to be formidable opponents at Recreation Park.

On the other hand, the Shots have just as much reason to be concerned about Wycombe’s current league form.

Prediction
Aldershot 1 Wycombe 1
