Swansea v Wycombe

Wycombe travel to Swansea City tonight in the second round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy after receiving a bye in the first round.

This gives Paul Lambert an opportunity to give fringe players a chance including goalkeeper Przemyslaw Kazimierczak (yes, I had to copy and paste that!), returning defender Will Antwi, summer recruit Derek Duncan, Saturday substitute Andre Boucaud and Tom Williams is expected to start on his first return to the club since he left in the summer.

Swansea are fresh from a stunning 5-0 away victory at previous league leaders Leyton Orient but are set to be without Daryl Duffy, Darren Way and Owain Tudor Jones for the fixture.

A very low away attendance is expected at the Liberty Stadium for such a low key fixture but some going may have look back fondly at a brilliant 3-2 away victory there in the first round of the Carling Cup last season.

Hopefully, the Blues put in an encouraging performance and despite the ‘tinpot’ tag attatched the competition, I doubt many will turn their nose up as going to Wembley to cheer on the Blues!
