The Opposition View

Following yesterday’s 6-0 annihilation at the hands of Huddersfield Town, here are some views on the game from Terriers’ manager Lee Clark and a few of their fans.


‘It was about good players playing well,’ said Clark.

‘I have a lot of attacking flair in the team and they enjoy doing it. It’s no exaggeration to say that we could have been in double figures. We’ve had a few kicked off the line, we’ve missed a few, we’ve hit the post and the keeper’s made some terrific saves, so we’re delighted.’

Revealing that he had done his homework on the Chairboys, the Terriers’ manager continued:

‘On the training ground we are working a lot on the situations that you get in a match day. We did a lot of work on Wycombe, as we do all teams, and my players turned in a magnificent performance that was not just attacking, we also got another clean sheet which was really pleasing.’



The Huddersfield fans were over the moon with their side’s performance and thought we had the worst defence they had ever seen.

Whew, that’s a relief.


So we move on to the FA Cup replay at Brighton on Wednesday. There’s obviously not enough time to recruit a new defence before then, so a clean sheet’s right out of the question and with the Seagull’s having an equally dodgy back-four, we might as well just try to outscore them again.
