In the wake of yesterday’s stunning victory over Millwall, here are some views on the game from Lions’ manager Kenny Jackett and a few of their fans.

Jackett tore into his players but was quick to acknowledge that Wycombe got exactly what they deserved.

“We were flat throughout and I can’t remember when we last created so few chances. We just fell away as the game went on,” said the Lions boss.

“It was a really poor performance from start to finish. We never got going, didn’t show any fight, didn’t show any personality and didn’t show any zip. It was unexplainable really and probably unacceptable as well.”

“We caused Wycombe very few problems and they won the game fair and square.”

“They just handled us. We were slow to react and second best. We didn’t get run-ragged, but our passing was poor and if you play as flat as that, then you are going to get caught at the other end,” said Jackett.

The Millwall fans generally accepted that Wycombe deserved to win yesterday, but as with every club, there are always a few who just can’t.

The following extracts are taken from ‘Den Talk,’ ‘Vital Millwall,’ BBC606, ‘The Football Forum,’ and ‘Football Forums.’ Unfortunately Millwall’s biggest forum ‘House of Fun’ appears to be on the blink this morning.

‘Wycombe started today like they knew they were in for another whacking but after about 20 minutes when it didn’t come, they re-thought their strategy and started to believe in themselves. They wanted it more and worked harder than us. Their giant centre half had the easiest game he’ll have all season.’

‘The Millwall that went unbeaten for 9 games didn’t turn up and we duly lost. The proper Millwall side would hammer Wycombe 4-0.’

‘Wycombe wanted it more today but what made it so hard to take for me was that they were absolute s**te and the worst team that I have seen down the Den this year. We were the better team by far.’

Next Game: Wycombe v Brentford Tuesday 24th Nov 7.45pm

Another three points and people might start to believe we can still claw our way out of trouble.
