In the wake of yesterday’s 4-3 defeat in Bletchley, here are some views on the game from opposing manager Karl Robinson and a few of their fans.

Robinson felt his side played exceptionally well in the first half and was delighted to take all three points.

“It was a good game with seven goals, obviously we walk away in a positive mood because we got the three points but it’s going to be a tough place to go when we turn this fixture around and go to their place,” he said.

“In the first half for 30 minutes I thought we played some of the best football I have seen here. I thought the football we played was sensational and the first goal was part of that. I thought we should have put them to the sword. We had chances to kill the game in the first half but we never did.”

Even THEIR fans could spot the Chairboys’ weakness.

“Dons played well in spells but from where I sat it was as much Wycombe’s leaky defence.’

“Not a great performance and at times we looked awful, but I”m sure it was great entertainment for the neutrals. I though Bowditch looked a class above everyone else on the pitch today. Fair play to Wycombe they gave their best and made a game of it.’

“It’s just a shame we took our foot off the Gas, I would have loved to see us give them a thrashing – still its 3 points and that’s all that matters.’

“Our first goal was an absolute beauty, a perfect ‘football’ goal from start to finish. But that aside, Wycombe gave us a lesson in the art of finishing. All three of their goals being well struck deliveries which gave Martin no chance whatsoever.’

“It should have been 4-4 by half time. Surefire couple of penalties, Wycombe should have had one in the first half, and so should Balanta right at the end!! On the whole a very entertaining game which I thought we were going to lose at one point.’

“I was right opposite when Martin saved from inside his goal in the first half – it looked over the line to me!’

Kilburn Don wrote:
“It was like a schoolboy game today, Wycombe just attacked. Because their defence was very poor we could have scored 8 or 9, but I have to say they had some good front men.’

Manicbeaver wrote:
“That game should have been over by half time and Wycombe are clearly going down, worse team I’ve seen in a while. Having said that their third goal was a bit special. If it had been Van Persie or Torres scoring that, the BBC would be purring all over it.’
