In the wake of Wycombe’s latest home defeat, this time at the hands of fellow strugglers Bournemouth, here are some views on the game from the Cherries’ manager Lee Bradbury and a few of their fans.

The Bournemouth manager was delighted to bank all three points and particularly pleased to keep a clean sheet after conceding nine goals in their previous two games.

“The most pleasing thing was that we were a really strong unit defensively,” he said.

“I asked for a clean sheet and we worked hard from front to back and got what we deserved.”

“I was delighted with our unity and hunger to get the win.”

“We kept the ball well in the right areas, played when we could, and it was a job well done.”

On the subject of the Cherries’ winning goal, Bradbury said: “Going forward we’ve worked on the cut-back and getting in at the far post with the opposite winger, so it was good to get a goal from it.”

The Bournemouth fans think we’re doomed and thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Adams Park.

“Always nerve wracking with only a one goal difference. Just as well Wycombe couldn’t hit a barn door, let alone score with a penalty.’

“Wycombe are in a terrible state and will go down, but we should be taking advantage of sides like that and did so! Opening 25 minutes we tore them apart and should have scored 3 or 4 never mind 1.’

“Their fans were (perhaps understandably) not the most vocal but I left with a really high impression of them as a club. I felt less an away fan and more a guest at their club. All the stewards were friendly and polite and the kids at half time doing penalties at the away end was nice.’

“Very friendly club. Laid back stewards, helpful staff, ground in a lovely setting and we won. What more could you want?’
