Injury hit Wycombe Wanderers travel to Bristol City tomorrow for a pre-season friendly.

With their treatment room looking like a scene from M.A.S.H. The Chairboys face a tough assignment against a City side who beat Premiership Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 last Saturday.

It’s the final pre-season game for The Robins and boss Gary Johnson is likely to field the team which will start his Championship challenge at Preston North End on August 8th.

Speaking to his club’s official website, Johnson challenged his players to cement their places:

‘If the side that starts against Wycombe does well, then those players have every chance of being involved in the first Championship game. It’s going to be down to them,’ said Johnson.

‘The lads know it’s serious against Wycombe. I want the lads to show me how much they want to play in the first game at Preston when they take to the field tomorrow.’

Wycombe meanwhile, will certainly be without Tommy Doherty, Ian Westlake, Lewis Hunt and Lewwis Spence. Also doubtful are Craig Woodman, Leon Johnson, Stuart Green, Jon-Paul Pittman and TJ Moncur.

Kick-off is at 3.00 pm
