Wycombe Appeal Zebroski Red Card

Wycombe Wanderers have decided to appeal against Chris Zebroski’s red card.

The striker was dismissed along with Darlington’s Tim Ryan in Saturday’s 1-1 draw.

It was easy to see why Darlington’s Ryan was sent off, after he appeared to head-butt Zebroski.

However, from the sidelines, Zebroski’s punishment was not so easy to understand. Initially it appeared to fans that he lashed out at his own team-mate Matt Harrold during the melee which followed Ryan’s departure. That was not the case however, as TV replays clearly show.

In fact, Zebroski appeared to do little wrong, apart from look upset and angry once he got up after the assault by Ryan.

Following the incident, the referee restarted the game with a free kick to Wycombe. This suggests that Zebroski did nothing wrong leading up to Ryan’s dismissal.
