Wycombe Wanderers have recalled Luke Oliver from his loan-spell at Bradford City.

When Adam Hinshelwood was injured in yesterday’s game against Hartlepool, the Chairboys were left with only one fit central-defender in their squad – Chris Westwood.

Alan Bennett was injured last month and returned to his parent club Brentford, while Leon Johnson has been missing for most of the season and isn’t ready to return just yet.

Full-back Lewis Hunt has played at centre-half before and did an excellent job when he came on yesterday, but manager Gary Waddock has decided to recall Oliver anyway.

The giant defender will be missed at Valley Parade, having scored Bradford’s only goal in each of their last two games, and is widely expected to rejoin manager Peter Taylor on a permanent basis in the summer.

It is not yet known how long Hinshelwood will be out for the Chairboys.
