Wycombe: The Opposition View

Following last night’s crucial 1-0 win over Luton Town, here are some views on the game from Hatters’ manager Mick Harford and a few of their fans.



Harford was frustrated at losing to what he described as ‘a sucker punch.’

Speaking to his club’s official website, the Hatters boss bemoaned his fate:

‘I’m sure Peter Taylor will agree when he does his interview, that was one of the most one-sided games I’ve seen this season in terms of possession and the way in which we tried to win the game,’ he said.

‘It was difficult to break them. They hardly came over the halfway line in the second half,’ said Harford, apparently surprised that Wycombe would protect a vital lead which could yet see them promoted.

‘The players are absolutely devastated in the dressing room knowing they’ve lost in that manner.’

‘No disrespect to Wycombe but they have probably gone the longest in terms of direct football and we dealt with it comfortably apart from one lapse and the lad’s mishit that shot. That’s the way it went for us tonight,’ said the unhappy Harford.
