Ahead of Saturday’s game against Rochdale at Spotland, Lewis from Vital Dale answers a few questions for us.

Keith Hill did a great job for Rochdale, how do the fans feel about new boss Steve Eyre?

There`s a bit of a mix. Some expect more of the same, but most are realistic. We were nervous when he was appointed as he only has experience working with youngsters, but then that was Hill`s route. He`s very positive, but doesn`t gloss over what needs working on. He was tactically naive at first, but he seems to be wising up now. If the team continue to improve I think the fans will be happy.

You did brilliantly to finish 9th last time, what were the fans’ expectations for this season and have they changed?

Well we lost Chris O`Grady and Craig Dawson in the summer, so expectations are down understandably. That plus a new manager, and staying in the division is the aim.

Where do you personally think you’ll finish?

Anywhere between 13th and 20th.

How would you describe your current style of play?

Gung ho. Only Wednesday games have seen more goals than us this season. The young lads like to the get ball down and play, but sometimes at the expense of our positioning.

Where are you strongest – defence, midfield or attack?

The last month I would say attack. Ashley Grimes and David Ball have linked up really well.

Who has been your best player so far?

I`ll go with Gary Jones. Mr dependable.

Of all the teams you’ve played so far, who has impressed you the most?

For the way they played and carried themselves I`ll say Charlton. I like a team with a good attitude.

What do you expect to see from Wycombe on Saturday?

I`ve not seen a great deal of this Wycombe team, but going off the past, I`d say a strong side that doesn`t give too much away.

Take a wild guess at the final score?

3 – 1 Dale

Vital Wycombe would like to thank Lewis for his contribution.
