Wycombe Wanderers have handed 18 year-old left-back Charles Dunne his first professional contract.

The youngster, who impressed in several of Wycombe’s pre-season friendlies and has been training with the first-team squad, put pen to paper on a contract that keeps him at Adams Park until summer 2013.

Dunne told wwfc.com: “It’s a priviledge to sign for Wycombe. It feels like my hard work has paid off and hopefully I can have a bright future. I’ve watched what the other young players do and they’ve been good role models for me, so hopefully I can also get my chance in the first-team in the future.”

Blues’ boss Gary Waddock said: “Charles has worked extremely hard since he’s been with the club and he deserves the chance to turn professional. He gives us another option in defence and we’ll be working closely with him to develop him even further and make sure he’s ready for first-team football when the time comes.”
