Wycombe Wanderers fans were given a welcome boost today with the announcement that popular midfielder Matt Bloomfield has agreed to sign a new one-year contract.


The Chairboys’ current longest serving player told wwfc.com: “Everyone knows how much the club means to me and I’m delighted to be staying. I’m really looking forward to playing a part in achieving our goal of getting promoted back to League One next season.”


Blues’ fans now wait with bated breath to hear whether Kevin Betsy has also accepted the terms of his new contract.

The Popular winger recently said that he hoped to end his career at Adams Park and his recent performances have ensured that most Wycombe supporters would be equally happy to see him stay.
