Fixtures for the 2013/14 League Two season have been released this morning and Wycombe Wanderers will host Morecambe at Adams Park on Saturday 3rd August 2013 on the first day of the new campaign.

It will the third time in the last six season’s that the Blues have begun their campaign against Morecambe. The first came back in 2008, when Peter Taylor’s side were held to a 1-1 draw before finishing the season with promotion from League Two on the final day.

The second then came two years later in 2010 and a 2-0 victory over the Shrimps saw Gary Waddock’s men also win promotion from League Two on the final day. Wanderers fans will certainly be hoping it’s third time lucky!

A trip to the Capital follows on Saturday 10th August as the Chairboys travel to Kingsmeadow to face AFC Wimbledon.

Conference Premier Champions Mansfield Town visit Adams Park on Saturday 17th August before the Blues make the short trip to the Kassam Stadium to take on Oxford United on Saturday 24th August.

The first evening fixture doesn’t take place until Tuesday 22nd October but sadly it is an away clash with Portsmouth at Fratton Park, which might well have seen a thousand Wanderers make the trip had it been on a Saturday!

Saturday 30th November is the date for the jaunt to east London to take on Dagenham and Redbridge.

Boxing Day sees newcomers Newport County travel to Adams Park before the Chairboys make the long journey down to St James Park to face Exeter City on New Years Day.

The return fixture with Oxford United takes place on Saturday 18th January 2014 and ten days later Portsmouth also visit Adams Park, again on a Tuesday evening.

There is a midweek trip to Burton Albion at the end March and a first ever visit to Rodney Parade, Newport County, comes on Saturday 12th April.

A week later, Northampton Town make the short trip to Adams Park on Easter Saturday before Easter Monday brings a road trip to Fleetwood Town.

The final home game of the season is against Bristol Rovers on Saturday 26th April.

The curtain comes down on Saturday 3rd May when hopefully the sun will visit the English Riviera as Wycombe Wanderers travel to Plainmoor to face Torquay United.
