The Opposition View – Bournemouth

In the wake of yesterday’s insipid capitulation at Bournemouth, here are some views on the game from the Cherries’ manager Lee Bradbury and a few of their fans.

When asked on Radio Solent what he thought of the two goals, Bradbury chuckled before saying: “Yeh, they were good enough goals (more laughter) we’ll take that all day. A header from Michael Symes that goes through the crowd, and a flick-on header that popped down between the two confused defenders for Wes Thomas to finish and it’s a 2-0 win at home.”

“For me the most disappointing thing is that we didn’t win the game 4-0 in the end. We had the chances to do so and we’ve got to kill teams off.”

“We played some really good football today and it’s nice to do it at home,” said the Cherries boss. “The fans came out in their thousands and I think we put on a good performance for them.”

“I thought we showed good fitness levels, two games in three days is a big ask of any team.”


Anyone who was there won’t be surprised to read that it was impossible to find a Bournemouth fan with anything encouraging to say about Wycombe.
