Wycombe’s pre-season draws to a close at the three-sided stadium on Friday and we should get the best idea yet of what the starting line-up will look like next Saturday against Accrington Stanley.

Vital Quotes:

Will be featured as soon as they’ve left the managers’ mouths.

Oxford Team News:

Oxford will try and give all their pre-season captures a chance in the game which is also their final pre-season outing.

New full back Alex Jeannin, who was captured from Hereford on a free transfer will be eager to make an impact after scoring against Luton earlier this week. The game may also mark a return to the fray for defender Chris Wilmott who has been out of action since last December.

Player to watch: Yemi Odubade

An extremely speedy and tricky striker that caused Conference defenders all sorts of problems last season with the Nigerian born man scoring 12 league goals. He is likely to give David McCracken and Leon Johnson a thorough workout.

Wycombe Team News:

Wycombe are mostly at full strength apart from the absence of tenacious midfielder Gary Holt who picked up a wrist injury in Germany but he should be fit for the start of the season. The rest of the squad should be unchanged from the one taken to Maidenhead.

Player to watch: Andre Boucaud

Could be his last chance to impress if he hasn’t put pen to paper by Friday night. Has impressed with his skill and passing accuracy so far this close season and will be looking to do the same to secure that contract.

Match Facts & Stats

This will be Wycombe’s first visit to the Kassam Stadium since August 2005.

Only a week ago the stadium was being used as a refuge station for people left homeless after the severe flooding in the area.

Oxford come into the game with a home victory over League 1 side Bournemouth already under their belts as well as an impressive showing against Luton.

Match Prediction:

With a lot of chopping and changing involved throughout and with the O’s in good pre-season form, I think an uninspiring 1-1 draw is in store for the sides but hopefully an encouraging performance nonetheless!
