Wycombe manager Peter Taylor has fined last season’s top scorer Scott McGleish for throwing his shirt to the ground.

McGleish was substituted in the second half of Saturday’s game against Brentford. He took an eternity to walk off the pitch and then threw his shirt to the ground.

Taylor told local paper The Bucks Free Press ‘He`s been disciplined for that. I don`t want to see that. It`s a team game.’

He went on to say “But he`s apologised and taken it on the chin.’

McGleish scored 26 League goals for the Chairboys last season but has only managed one goal from the penalty spot so far this term.

During Saturday’s match he had two clear cut opportunities to score. The first was well saved by the Brentford keeper but McGleish will feel he should have done better with the second, which he headed into the side netting.
